Chumphon province as a Thai travel destination offers you the charm of Thailand the way you can no longer find at the major tourist destinations. Out here, life is authentic, beauty is plentiful and the beaches are serene. In front of our resort alone you can go for a stroll along the shoreline and may not encounter another person for the next 2 kilometres.
At the same time, Chumphon is anything but secluded. Chumphon City is a major provincial town along the west coast of the Golf of Siam with all resources and infrastructure in place – shopping, dining, entertainment, and more. The Chumphon airport conveniently connects the area with Bangkok and after a one hour flight it only takes another 5 minutes to be at our resort. Despite this convenience of air travel, Chumphon is still an area of Thailand that many people from Bangkok consider accessible by car for a long weekend. The 440km commute typically takes between 6-7 hours.
You will find unforgettable impressions of pristine nature around Chumphon – on land as well as under water.
The peaks of Khao Dinsor mountain which are visible across the beautiful bay from all of our suites are home to an annual world class nature spectacle: the migration stop-over of raptors on their way south. An event which draws nature enthusiasts and bird photographers from around the world. Likewise the marine life you can encounter at the reefs of Chumphon province are amongst the best in Thailand as rated by scuba divers and snorkelers alike.
A stay at Chumphon can easily be planned in combination with a further visit to Ko Tao, Surat Thani or as a half-way stop on a drive to Phuket.
