Sara Resort is a family built, owned and operated beachfront hotel. Pete and Rotjana Renehan designed and created a luxury resort with a private beach right on the ocean for you to enjoy. Our goal is to offer high quality facilities with teak wood furnishings and excellent service all within a “down to earth” family atmosphere.
Our kitchen emphasizes fresh seafood and reflects the blended fusion of our time spent in Thailand, Italy and the US. From the handmade raviolis to the local fish, everything is prepared onsite with the highest quality ingredients.

We can arrange for an unforgettable day trip on a boat to visit the local coral reefs even as a non-scuba diver. Discover lush anemone fields filled with hundreds of clown fish, colorful butterflyfish dancing across the reef and amazing displays of table and staghorn corals. Chumphon offers the choice of 2 charming 9-hole golf courses for a relaxing game in our pristine natural settings. Golf clubs may be rented upon request.
Diving around Chumphon offers you world class dive sites without the hordes of dive boats you encounter in the Andaman Sea or off Ko Tao. The reef are amongst the healthiest you will find in the Gulf of Thailand and the wreck of the HTMS Prab (sunk in 2011) adds the excitement of wreck diving to this area. In season you will easily encounter a visibility of 30m on a regular day.
Khao Dinsor is one of the mountains that frame the western side of the bay where our resort is located at. And it is also one of the world's most sought after places for bird watching! During the migration season of raptors flying south (September & October) up to 500,000 raptors of at least 25 species make Khao Dinsor their stop-over. A visitor's center and observation platform have recently been erected for enthusiasts of this truly unique spectacle. Text
